I volunteered to bake for and help run a Bake Sale for St. Louis Pet Rescue, an animal rescue group that home-fosters all its cats and dogs. So Friday afternoon and evening I baked and baked, and Saturday the Bake Sale went from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. We raised about $600 with our baked goods, with the opportunity to make even more the next day at a different location. St. Louis Pet Rescue uses this money to vet its animals. Adoption fees are kept as low as possible and often do not cover all the vetting that has occurred, so the rescue hosts several bake sales a year as well as a Trivia Night.
