Invest in a Whole Life

If we see the whole point of life as getting to heaven, then what point is there to doing anything but evangelizing and baptizing people? Why would churches ever pay attention to the real-life needs of the people or the world around them? Was it just proof of his power? Was it bait to reel people in? Or, if the cross was the point of Jesus’s mission, then what do we make of all the other stuff he did?
